Hall of Fame Travel League president Rich Hofman and Nations Baseball is proud to announce an alliance with AABC Baseball for the year 2009-2010. The AABC was founded in 1935 has a long history of success in youth baseball. Jim Cowen, state director, and Mike Roberts who sits on the board of directors expressed satisfaction with the agreement and we look forward to hosting tournament events during the year. Rich Hofman is equally pleased by the partnership saying "adding AABC to our organization gives us great credibility and gives local teams two different paths to championships and national competition. The addition of AABC will add forty teams immediately to the Hall of Fame Travel League." A free tournament held by AABC will guarantee a regional bid for the top two teams in each age bracket.
The American Amateur Baseball Congress (AABC) is proud to announce that they have joined forces with Hall of Fame/Nations Baseball to bring the best amateur baseball to South Florida the 2009/2010 season. AABC which is one of the oldest baseball organizations in America began in 1935 and has over 10,000 teams throughout the United States and Puerto Rico for ages 8 through unlimited. The AABC is known to offer some of the best World Series events in the country and has seen a long list of players participate in the program that have gone on to play in major league baseball. Teams that register with the Hall of Fame/Nations Baseball league that also register with the AABC ($75 per team per season) during this initial signup period will be given a spot in an AABC southeast regional qualifier tournament. This event will be held in early December 2009 in Weston, Florida hosted by the Weston Rattlers and Weston Hawks and will give the top finisher in each age dual age division (7/8, 9/10, 11/12, 13/14) a berth in the 2010 S.E. Regional Tournament which is held in July 2010. S.E. regional tournaments match up some of the best teams from the southeast United States who are competing to gain a spot in one of the AABC World Series held throughout the United States and Puerto Rico. The only cost to play in this tournament will be umpire fees for the games your team plays in. The single age division fall league winners in the 9U, 11U, 13U (who do not need to play in regional tournaments to advance to a World Series) will automatically advance to play against the 2010 spring league single age league winner in the championship game (if necessary) to earn a spot in one of the World Series held in various locations throughout the United States. Please visit the AABC national website www.aabc.us for a listing of World Series locations.
